How do I start a door project?
Send photos and project details to us on WhatsApp. Share your location, door idea, photos, and number of doors needed.

Where are you located?
GFC Doors serves customers through Ashaiman Timber Market and Kwahu Jejeti. Message us on WhatsApp for directions and project enquiries.
How long does it take to complete the doors?
Completion time depends on the size of the job, the number of doors, the style, the level of detail, and workshop conditions. Most door projects take about 3 to 7 weeks to complete. More intricate designs may take longer — especially work that requires detailed carving, special finishing, or when there are interruptions in power supply.
Do you accept payment plans?
We do not offer payment plans. After measurement and pricing, we provide an invoice showing the full cost of the job. Work begins after a 75% deposit is paid, and the remaining 25% is paid on the day of installation, before installation begins.
How much does a door cost?
There is no single standard price for every door. The cost depends on the type of wood, door size, design style, finishing, carving details, hardware, and number of doors. Different hardwoods such as mahogany, odum, rosewood and teak each affect the final price differently. After measurement and a design discussion, we provide a clear quote.
Can I ask for a reduction in price?
We price our doors based on the quality of hardwood, craftsmanship, finishing, and installation involved, and we aim to give the best value for the quality we deliver. For large contracts involving many doors, GFC Doors may offer a one-time discount.
Do you come to my site before giving the final price?
Yes. For accurate pricing we usually need to see the site and confirm measurements, the number of doors, your preferred wood, the style, and your installation needs.
Can I choose my own door design?
Yes. Send us photos, sketches, screenshots or design ideas, and we'll advise whether the design suits your space, wood choice and budget.
Can you copy a door design I found online?
We can use your reference image as inspiration and create a similar custom hardwood design, adjusted to your measurements and the materials available.
Do you make door frames too?
Yes. Door frames can be made as part of the project, depending on the site conditions and what you need.
Do your prices include installation?
Your quote clearly states what's included. When installation is part of the job, it appears on the invoice — please confirm this with us before work begins.
Do you provide locks, handles, and hinges?
Yes — hardware can be included or priced separately, depending on your preference and the quality you choose. We'll agree this during quotation.
Can I use my own locks or handles?
Yes, you're welcome to supply your own hardware. We'll simply confirm it's suitable before installation.
Do you polish, stain, or paint the doors?
Yes. Finishing options include polishing, staining, varnishing or painting, depending on the wood, design and your preference.
Can you make doors for an unfinished building?
Yes — the site just needs to be ready enough for accurate measurement and proper installation. If the openings aren't ready, we may advise waiting before final measurement.
What if my wall opening is not straight or even?
We check the opening during measurement and advise on the best way to fit your door properly.
Do you work outside Accra?
Yes, depending on the project location and scope. We're connected to Ashaiman Timber Market and Kwahu Jejeti, and site visits can be arranged — just talk to us.
Can diasporans pay and manage the project from abroad?
Yes. If your project is in Ghana, you can communicate by WhatsApp, give us a Ghana site contact, and we'll arrange measurement and installation locally.
Can I see progress photos or videos while the doors are being made?
Yes. Just ask, and we'll share photo or video updates during production.
What should I send before requesting a quote?
Send your name, phone number, project location, number of doors, preferred style, photos of the openings, and any design ideas.
Do you repair old doors?
